Human Resources Director

The HR Director is expected to embrace a critical leadership role at Eagle that requires him/her to build an HR Department that is focused on exceeding our employees’ expectations daily. Eagle is a growing company in a growing industry that requires an entrepreneurial individual to take full ownership of the following responsibilities:

  • Attracting new talent
  • Evaluating cultural fit & potential
  • Development of a robust training and certification curriculum to demonstrate to employees a “pathway” to growth and future opportunity with Eagle
  • Development of an effective performance evaluation program to include coaching and mentoring support
  • Strive for ever-increasing levels of employee engagement through the most effective means
  • Development of a performance and retention-based reward systems
  • Effective risk management and people management

The HR Director will lead the Department and Company as the “People Ambassador”, with the expectation of building a staff to support these important responsibilities. As the People Ambassador, the HR Director will take full responsibility of understanding each team members’ motivations and in helping them achieve their aspirations both at and outside of Eagle. We strongly feel that this is the only way to create maximum engagement at our organization. The ability to build a department from the ground up is a very rewarding but challenging task, and will require a strong, self-motivated leader to make a significant contribution to our fast-paced 24/7 manufacturing environment.

This individual will have the full support of ownership and must demonstrate a strong desire to help people and sincerely help people grow. The HR Director’s passion for helping people will be evident in how he/she focuses on our team’s safety, success, and well-being both at work and outside of work.

Job Description:

  • Recruiting (with significant emphasis on web-based tools and social media platform management)
  • Assessments (to include skills testing and Predictive Index (PI) evaluation)
  • Job description creation and management
  • Interviewing
  • Onboarding
  • Training program development & facilitation
  • Performance review program development & facilitation
  • Performance improvement plan support
  • Safety program support
  • SQF Food Safety program support
  • ADP payroll administration (with the assistance of Finance Department)
  • Workers compensation management
  • Employee engagement management
  • Employee records management (significant cloud-based opportunities currently exist via ADP)
  • Management of temporary employment services (as a tool of last resort)
  • Offboarding and terminations
  • Management of all HR compliance matters (5500’s, payroll taxes, )
  • Direct involvement in all strategic planning
  • Interacts directly with outside employment attorneys (to include updating of employee handbook)
  • Manages annual health insurance renewal process
  • Ensure that all company food safety and quality assurance procedures are followed at all times.  Escalate any issues/concerns to management.
