Packer/Catchers are responsible for packing at the end of the production line as well as helping in the cleaning and set-up of the line in our safe and clean flexible packaging manufacturing environment. Opportunities to work full-time or flexible part-time schedules based on preference.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Comply with company policies and procedures and maintain regular work attendance.
- Ensure that the packaging line runs productively following all Packaging Operations SOPs and GMPs.
- Take personal responsibility for following safety rules, SOPs and GMP guidelines.
- Complete appropriate paperwork.
- Monitor product from the line for accuracy and ensure proper packing procedures are utilized for shipment.
- Catch all pouches from machine, inspecting each pouch for proper order and color.
- Continually check for printing, cutting and packaging defects on all pouches.
- Report any quality issues or equipment defects to the line operator.
- Form boxes and apply labels to cases maintaining accurate count.
- Ensure accurate quantities are packed.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times.
- Perform general cleaning, organization and housekeeping around machine during line changes and machine down time.
- Participate in off-line sorting and/or reworking of product as necessary.
- May be required to perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.
- Ensure that all company food safety and quality assurance procedures are followed at all times. Escalate any issues/concerns to management.
- Other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Good counting skills / excellent attention to detail.
- Must be able to read and review all paper instructions and labeling requirements.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
- Required to transfer up to 10-25 pound cases to pallets frequently.
- Required to stand for 8 hour shift and move about within the work areas.
Pay: Starting pay is $17 per hour for 1st shift and $18 per hour for 2nd and 3rd shift, including shift differential.

- Company Paid Short-Term Disability– The Short-Term Disability premium is 100% paid by Eagle.
- Company Paid Long-Term Disability– The Long-Term Disability premium is 100% paid by Eagle.
- Life Insurance– The Basic Life premium is 100% paid by Eagle and is a flat $20,000 benefit for all FT, benefit eligible employees. Employees have the option to purchase additional voluntary life insurance for self, spouse, and dependent children.
- Vacation/PTO – The amount of vacation/paid time off (PTO) employees receive each year starts at 80 hours (2 weeks) each year, which accrues at a rate of 1.538 hours per week, and increases with the length of employment.
- 8 Company Paid Holidays– Eligible after 60 days of employment.
- Sick Leave– Eligible for paid sick days at the rate of 3 days (24 hours) per year after 6 months of service (prorated for per the calendar year).
