Eagle Flexible Packaging is seeking Plate Mounters who will ensure that the printing plates and related supplies are well-maintained and available for Operators when needed in order to minimize press downtime and increase production efficiency. Hiring for first shift (Monday-Friday 6am-2:30pm) and second shift (Monday-Friday 2pm-10:30pm).
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Review prepress checklist and verify all items such as plates, proofs, drawdowns, and first run print samples are ready and available for Production.
- Inspect plates for cracking of mylar backing, wrinkles, and wear.
- Check tint tubes for cuts or cracks.
- Transport all mounted orders to the appropriate press staging area.
- Remount plates if needed.
- Remove all cylinders from press area.
- Remove plates from cylinders, wash them, and dry them.
- Properly file plates, proof, drawdowns, and first run print samples.
- Keep adequate stock of supplies, including but not limited to tint tubes, sticky back, hair spray, paper ink pans, supply and drain hoses, and doctor blades.
- Keep prepress area neat and orderly at all times.
- Inspect and identify any unusual wear that needs to be addressed by maintenance such as plate roll cylinders, cylinder gears, cylinder bearings, and plate roll shafts.
- Look after the maintenance and accuracy of the plate mounting equipment, reporting any concerns to leadership.
- Ensure that all company food safety and quality assurance procedures are followed at all times. Escalate any issues/concerns to management.
- Other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- High school degree or equivalent (GED).
- Ability to safely work in a fast-paced production environment while managing multiple responsibilities.
- Reliable with a sense of accountability, including record of good attendance.
- Effective time management skills and ability to maximize productivity.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged periods of time.
- Must be able to stoop, kneel, and climb a ladder and stairs.
- Must be able to lift objects up to 75 pounds.
- Must be able to see with or without corrective lenses.
- Limited working proficiency in verbal and written English.
- Excellent work ethic and willingness to learn.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Flexographic printing experience, ideally plate mounting experience.
- Experience in the flexible packaging industry.
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
Pay: $18.00 – $26.00 per hour

- Life Insurance– The Basic Life premium is 100% paid by Eagle and is a flat $20,000 benefit for all FT, benefit eligible employees. Employees have the option to purchase additional voluntary life insurance for self, spouse, and dependent children.
- Vacation/PTO – The amount of vacation/paid time off (PTO) employees receive each year starts at 80 hours (2 weeks) each year, which accrues at a rate of 1.538 hours per week, and increases with the length of employment.
