Laminated Rollstock

Engineered flexible material structures

A critical part of the flexible packaging process is selecting the proper type of material structure for your product. Our technical support department can assist you when evaluating material options. In addition to our portfolio of custom laminated film structures, our capabilities include advanced in-house printing and converting.

Perfect for both wet and dry packaging applications, our flexible packaging films and laminates create a layer of insulation that protects products when packaged. Various types of packaging materials are used to formulate the laminate structure including polyethylene, polyester, nylon, film-foil laminations and more. Additionally, many of our laminate structures are compatible with How2Recycle® (H2R) guidelines, making it easier for brands to align with recycling programs.

Flexible laminate materials are used in many different markets from food and beverage to pharmaceuticals and medical devices. Our flexible packaging materials are customized to your product’s specific barrier needs that will increase long-term endurance and help your product resist harmful outside elements as it sits on the shelf.

A variety of value-added features are compatible with laminated rollstock orders. We can provide a gloss or matte finish, clear viewing windows, press-to-close zippers, hang holes, perforation, laser scoring and more to meet any desired specifications your product requires.

Eagle’s experienced team of flexible packaging engineers work hard to understand the details of your brand, business and product. From dietary supplements to liquid energy gels and vitamin powder, our high-barrier packaging capabilities provide the latest flexible film technology to meet the specific lamination requirements of both consumer and medical products.

High-Barrier Packaging Film

High-barrier packaging film is the premium choice packaging material for supporting sterility and preserving product quality and freshness. At Eagle, we utilize high-barrier packaging materials to keep moisture, air, and other elements sealed off from the contents inside your flexible pouch or bag.

With barrier packaging film, you can optimize your product’s shelf life and provide maximum, long-lasting quality for customers. Eagle collaborates with you to ensure that your package’s high-barrier film is carefully constructed to meet your product’s specific requirements.

Moisture Barrier Packaging

If your product requires extreme moisture and vapor protection, our high moisture barrier packaging materials will help you achieve just that. High-barrier packaging pouches can be custom built with protective layers and materials like film-foil laminations, polyvinylidene chloride, and high-density polyethylene to keep unwanted moisture properties from entering your package.

Moisture barrier packaging is a must for dry ingredient products such as powdered soup mixes and nutritional supplements.

Some products need to reduce or remove oxygen transmission rates completely in order to effectively extend shelf life. Oxygen barrier packaging uses a special material coating that reduces oxygen levels inside the pouch, which helps preserve your product’s color, flavor, and aroma. With such a wide range of materials at our disposal, we can help you choose the best oxygen barrier packaging structure for your needs.

One of the most common challenges facing food products is shelf life. High-barrier packaging helps retain rich flavors and aromas by creating a tightly sealed barrier system. The barrier film works to efficiently block oxygen transmission and water vapor from contacting sensitive foods. Products such as coffee grounds, snack foods and select dry ingredient food products can be greatly affected by any air or moisture that enters the pouch.

High-barrier packaging can also be a valuable film choice for non-food items such as household chemicals and nutraceutical products. Our unique materials are tested and validated throughout the high-barrier lamination process to ensure optimum protection.

Barrier packaging for medical device products is critical for maintaining sterility and providing aseptic presentation at the point of use. We offer many material structures commonly used in medical and healthcare packaging and manufacture custom laminated structures to meet OTR and WVTR specifications.

Rollstock with pre-applied zipper

Add consumer functionality without adding packaging line complexities with Eagle’s pre-applied zippers. Rollstock with pre-applied zipper is a great alternative for manufactures who desire a resealable package but need the throughput of an automated form, fill and seal production line.

Rollstock with pre-applied zipper technology is compatible with virtually all vertical form fill seal (VFFS) machines, and is overall less expensive than applying resealable fastening inline.

Rollstock with Laser Scoring

Laser scoring is an advanced feature that enhances both functionality and consumer satisfaction. By incorporating laser scoring into your rollstock, you provide end users with controlled, precise tearing without compromising product protection. It’s a simple upgrade that improves usability while maintaining the integrity of your packaging design.
