The Maintenance Supervisor will oversee all major mechanical, electrical & process control system and maintenance activities including system improvements, troubleshooting, root cause determination and corrective action implementation.

Maintenance Supervisor

Specific Duties:

  • Coordinate installation of production equipment with vendors and subcontractors.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance work on all equipment and maintain and manage the machinery logs.
  • Diagnose electrical and mechanical issues on an as-needed basis.
  • Manage and maintain spare part inventory.
  • Manage and maintain company tools and test equipment.
  • Install and retrofit equipment with minimal costs.
  • Ensure that all Food Safety related maintenance is performed at regular intervals.
  • Manage all building and grounds maintenance.
  • Oversee all Maintenance Department functions, including the management of the department’s team members and prioritizing work projects based on importance.
  • Control all areas of production costs in order to meet manufacturing cost / budget targets and continually challenge and reduce costs by all means of elimination of waste, reduced overtime, etc.
  • Uses CMMS Software for parts, preventative maintenance and asset management.

Requirements:

  • Solid understanding of electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills.
  • Working knowledge of the operating principles and troubleshooting of the following:
    • PLC’s
    • High voltage and low voltage circuitry
    • Pneumatic and mechanical systems
    • Test Equipment, tools, etc.
  • Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written.
  • Proficient in keyboarding/typing (high level of email correspondence and data entry).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.).
  • Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering, other Engineering Degree or 5-10 years of related experience.
  • Must be flexible and able to be on-call in the event of off-hours equipment break downs.
